Kafanchan, Nigeria Mission Update
WHO: Bishop Markus and Mrs. Nana Dogo will be visiting
WHAT: The Dogos are recipients of funding both through AEP and Kateri Medical Services. Both non-profits are working in Kafanchan to support the efforts in schools and with a medical clinic.
The Dogos would like to use this opportunity to meet and have an opportunity for discussion with their benefactors.
WHEN: Please mark your calendars!
The Kogum River well is used every day by the school and by the wider community. It is a major factor in bringing renewal to this rural community. The provision of clean water is cutting absenteeism by reducing the incidence of water-born diseases for students and the wider community.
“Some people don’t think it’s cool to help others; personally I think it’s the coolest thing in the world” - Prince Harry.
Africa Education Partnership is pleased to announce that the renovation of the Kafanchan Junior Secondary School multi-purpose hall has been completed in time for the new academic year. Before the renovation began, the hall was in a very bad state of repair; the ceiling and roof were near collapse, posing a danger to all who used it.
The exterior panoramic photo shows the two wings of the hall.
