Education Fund

DONATE

$300  educates  a  child  for  one  year!

Education costs money, regardless of where in the world it takes place.  Some governing body, board of directors, government branch, group of professionals, or local community group has to take responsibility for the provision of educating their children.  This may look very different, depending on region, culture, local customs, or religion.  What can be provided also depends on politics, economic resources, infrastructure, and human capital.

In the developed nations of the world, education is given priority, with financial resources, trained teachers, and solid infrastructure made readily available.  The average cost of educating a child in the United States, for example, is $16,993 (https://educationdata.org/public-education-spending-statistics).

In the areas of Nigeria where we are now working, the average cost to educate a child is a mere $300.
For $150, a child's tuition, books, uniforms, and boarding (where applicable) can be provided.  The other $150 factors in routine maintenance, repairs, replacement equipment, and other related expenses.

Each donation gifted to the Education Fund, regardless of amount, will be equally split between the tuition and maintenance line items.

                        $300 educates a child for 1 year!
