DONATE

Africa Education Partnership depends primarily on public donations to continue our work.
We value the support from both individuals and community groups, including local schools and churches, dioceses, and civic organizations such as Rotary Club.  If your organization would like to partner, please contact us.

How  can  you  help ?

donations  to  the  general  fund

Donations to the general fund are used to continue our large capital building projects as prioritized by our partners.  Expenses may include the following:
  • building construction/renovation
  • boreholes/wells
  • structure for toilets
  • security walls
  • educational equipment- desks, tables, bookcases, computers, lab equipment, etc.
We also have small monthly expenses in order to keep our organization running:
  • postage
  • printing
  • web support (a few hours per month)

donations  to  the  education  fund

The Education Fund, our 2023 initiative, recognizes the need for scholarships for children who cannot afford to pay the school fees.  In addition to scholarships, the Education Fund will help cover the costs associated with the overall running of a school including routine maintenance and repairs, equipment replacement, fuel for generators, and vehicle maintenance.
For $300, you can educate a child for one year!

donations   to   the  empowerment  fund

The Empowerment Fund is our newest initiative with our partners and was started in the summer of 2024.  It was established to meet an expressed need of providing targeted skills training in the practical trades.  Those individuals within the community but outside of the educational system such as disenfranchised young adults, widows, unemployed men, and others who have no viable source of income will be offered the opportunity to learn a new set of skills.  Training will take place at newly outfitted centers in areas such as sewing, knitting, soap making, baking, barbering and more as the programs take hold and grow. Storefronts at the centers will showcase products for sale, providing some income and sustainability.

donations  from  your  IRA  Required  Minimum  Distribution

Tax laws passed by Congress in 2017 reduced the benefit of tax deductions for charitable gifts.  For 2023, those over the age of 73 must take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) out of their IRA every year or face large IRS penalties.  However, there is a very good tax savings opportunity for older people who need to take a yearly RMD.  Working with your financial consultant or institution, you are able to donate directly from your IRA.  In this manner, you fulfill the IRS requirement and avoid additional taxes.  Please consider this as a donation option for Africa Education Partnership, Inc.
