It has been a while since we have provided an update on our dormitory project at Graceland International School. Construction has been halted since January of this year due to a funding drought and challenges within Nigeria itself.
However, Africa Education Partnership has been given a $45,000 match challenge and that has helped us secure some donations in order to restart construction. The project has been broken down into segments and as funding becomes available, we will continue to make progress.
At this time, the interior roofing structure is being completed. It is rainy season and the accompanying winds threatened to pull off the exterior sheet metal roof, which would have been catastrophic. Thanks to some generous donors, that issue has been addressed. Our next segment will be the installation of doors and windows. Please consider a donation of any size to help us complete the project in time for the restart of school in September. There are already families clamoring to register their students for the dorm. How can you help?
