As we close out another year at AEP, I thought it would be useful to take stock of where our mission partners are in their ongoing (and very successful) journey to build and maintain better schools. As with everyone, our partners continue to struggle with their own unique challenges, but not necessarily driven by Covid.

Our second partner, Bishop Markus Dogo, made a plea for an additional classroom block at the Jagindi Tasha Nursery/Primary School. Although he had raised funds for a large, new building which AEP helped roof and complete, it was full to capacity.
Plans: As we announced previously, we are working with our Graceland International School (GIS) partners to build dorms for students who live too far away to commute daily. AEP decided to focus on providing a dorm for girls first and promised to fund the boys’ dorm in the future.
As the number of school children have increased in the newly renovated buildings, so has the need for new desks. Funds from our generous donors provided 200 new 2-seat desks to be used at several schools in the district. The desks were spread throughout the schools where needed.
Africa Education Partnership is excited to introduce a new way to support our work. Our Friends’ Program makes it easier to support monthly giving on a progressive scale designed to fit most budgets.
