Dormitory update

Greetings to all of our friends and supporters!  We are excited to share the news that the dormitory construction is finally approaching the final stages of construction.

Exterior tiling and plastering

Donated funds from the match challenge have been used to install doors and shutters throughout the building, a huge job.  The large undertaking of electrical wiring installation has just been completed, along with the plastering, both inside and out.

The final construction installment has been wired to complete the plumbing, tiling, and painting.  These projects are in full swing at the current time.

While it was hoped that the dorm could be completed for an October dedication, the issue of providing water for working showers and toilets remains.  In an area where water is at a premium, we have conducted water studies with our partners and outside experts to determine the best type and location of additional wells.  A plausible solution is imminent and March seems to be the best time for digging wells.  Once water is secured, the dorm will be dedicated.

This will provide an additional 100 students with an opportunity for a quality education.
