Jagindi Tasha, a rural school outside of Kafanchan, has experienced great growth in the student population.
This site houses students in pre-school through grade 6. When our partners shared news of this growth, they also made a request…more students mean more desks.
Quality desks are made by hand. A welder constructs the durable framework by bending the iron pieces. A carpenter attaches the wooden tops and seats. Desks are designed to accommodate two students each. Desks for younger students need to be shorter in height so little legs can reach the floor. AEP funded 200 desks, costing $40 each. Several hundred desks were constructed to accommodate an increase in the population of nursery/primary children in the schools.
Your donations would help us to buy more desks for our students.
