The Kogum Well The Kogum River well is used every day by the school and by the local community. It is a major factor in bringing renewal to this rural community. The provision of clean water is cutting absenteeism by reducing the incidence of water born diseases for students and the wider community. Clean water empowers girls. Since the collection of water for domestic use is the responsibility of the women and girls in a family, this well significantly cuts the time spent walking to and from home to the polluted river to collect water. This empowers girls by helping them to spend time on their studies. Our commitment. Africa Education Partnership is committed to providing a source of clean water at all of our schools.
