New Desktops Recently Purchased for School
It has taken some time, but the grant money generously awarded last spring by the Church Mission Publishing Company has finally been used to purchase four new desktops to be used at the school. Bishop John communicated via telephone that the new computers were in place, much to the excitement of teachers and students. Until recently, the school had not been ready to accept the computers for use. There was a need for a secured classroom and additional batteries to run the devices when the power was down. With these problems solved and construction on the second building complete, it was finally time to purchase the desktops. Originally, solar-powered laptops were investigated but proved to be unavailable. Our Nigerian partners researched models available and assured us that these desktops are durable and the best option. The rest of the money from the grant will be made available to purchase more computers when there is confirmation that they are performing effectively.
