On Friday, January 14, board member Elaine Chagnon presented to the Rotary Club of Avon-Canton via Zoom. Her powerpoint presentation focused on the work completed during the 2021 year. While still unable to travel to Nigeria, Africa Education PArtnership was able to continue work, albeit at a slower pace, than in the previous years.
Progress was made on the large construction project at Graceland International School- the building of a dormitory/kitchen/dining hall complex adjacent to the school campus. In addition, a new classroom block was completed at the Jagindi Tasha School in the Kafanchan region. Desks were ordered and built for the new building as well.
Rotary members were engaged and asked a variety of questions. Following the presentation, AEP was invited to apply for a grant from their International Committee. As a board, we are grateful for the continued support from our friends at Avon-Canton Rotary Club.
