Jagindi Tasha Nursery/Primary School is located on a large, open tract of land close to a main road. While the school is set back on the property, the openness and accessibility to the road could prove problematic. An 8-foot wall is under construction to secure the campus.
The news has carried stories of school invasions by various groups throughout Nigeria. Safety walls surrounding school property are a must-have structure to ensure safety for both students and staff.
The wall also reassures any parents, who might be concerned that their children might inadvertently wander on to the adjoining Main road. Our partners were able to manufacture their own cinder blocks. Combined with wise use of the AEP funds sent for the school renovation, an 8-foot perimeter wall is currently under construction and nearly complete. Two sets of gates have also been purchased to allow safe access to the school site.
